Time Matters 16.3

Time Matters 16.3 is in general release.  This upgrade is an ‘in place’, which means it changes your existing tables rather than create new tables.  For best results, log into the server as ADMINISTRATOR.   For higher versions of Windows, right-click the EXE setup file, and RUN AS administrator.  If you have questions, please contact me.   Have your SQL Server SA password, and your keycode in hand.

My habit is to make sure all bills are posted, (none in ‘final review’).   In addition, I post all unposted GL distributions for firms utilizing the QuickBooks link.  Then I run a re-index and do a full backup.

If upgrading from a version earlier than 12, there is a risk of property file and user preference failure.   This failure might express itself in errors resulting from adding new records, or loss of form customizations. Contact me for more details on how to correct.

Time Matters 16.3 includes improvements to TM Mobility.  This allows you to access contacts, matters, documents and bill items from the web browser on any device, including your SmartPhone.  New records added from your phone populate your office database in nearly real-time.  However, there are limitations, so check with me.  In addition, there is a new TimeMattersGo.  It is subscription based, and allows adding time through your phone. It also has limitations, so get information and be vigilant in testing to be sure this product is a good fit for you.

In addition, 16.3 continues to provide, free of charge, Exchange Synchronization.  You will need to download and install the new version.  All previous configurations will be inherited into the new configuration tool.

This update also includes more than 50 high-impact defect corrections.
